Humphree offers several different models and sizes of Interceptor's to be able to give your vessel the lift it needs to get up on plane faster or to reach the optimal running trim that will save fuel.
To create lift for the vessel there are two main criteria of the Interceptor, the width and the deployment of the interceptor blade. The Humphree Interceptors comes in different model series and sizes. So that you can find the right one for your vessel and in the right price range. The Humphree Interceptors comes in four different series:
Humphree recommends using the column “Recommended”. Where space does not permit this size please refer to the description below regarding the limitations of the options. In some cases, the larger interceptor is not required if the boat has a natural “Low” trim mode, which means that a smaller size can be selected.
Our new HLS (Humphree Large Series) are built for large and heavy vessels. This interceptor is designed for continuos operation with the ability to service without docking. Interceptor size must be calculated for each specific vessel.
The combination of Humphree interceptor width and interceptor blade deployment generates powerful lifting force to your vessel at semi planning speeds and up. The width of the Interceptor is to be chosen for your vessel to get the lift you want, a wider Interceptor means more lift. The Humphree interceptors utilise a blade deployment of 50mm for the X-series and the Standard H-series. The HE (Extended) series utilise 75mm blade deployment to give an efficient lift and the HL-series 110mm for even more power.
Since response time is crucial for efficient stabilization and safety, Humphree interceptor operates to full deployment of the blades in only 0.7 seconds.
Even if the space available on the transom is limited, the Humphree Interceptors with efficient 50mm blade deployment will give you enough lift.
